Leslie Healey | Film Editor

“I recently worked (very well) with Les on a new sci-fi/action/adventure television series called “Medinah” that we filmed in Qatar. This was no easy project by any means with the dialogue being in English and Arabic with English sub-titles (as well as several other languages from time to time.) We also had a very large visual effect component to the show as well as our share of action and stunts – not to mention the extra effort required to bring the best performances together on the screen with actors of different cultures speaking different languages. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Les. Was very quick when needed, very productive and great ideas. We ended up with a fantastic end product. I really do hope that I get the opportunity to work with Les again. You won’t go wrong with him.”
Producer/Director, Wayne Rose

“I worked with Les Healey on several episodes of Da Vinci’s Demons Season 3. Les is a gifted editor who combines immense experience, technical ability and sensitivity to story. On a complex Anglo-American production like Da Vinci, the editor is often at the heart of competing and sometimes contradictory demands, in a long and demanding editorial process. Les’ experience working with some of the top film and television makers of the last thirty years enables him to deal with that process with intelligence, creativity and flair, and with a great deal of charm. In an industry obsessed with finding ‘the next new thing’, Les is the perfect reminder that sometimes, experience and the wisdom that comes from it, are more important.”
Producer, Matthew Bouch

“I wanted to put on record that working with Les again, particularly on Da Vinci's Demons, has been an absolute joy. Les gave the Series an uplift with his expertise in editing and his good nature and humour during a very difficult and lengthy Post Production of Episodes. He coped so well with creative changes and reshoots from Producers and never once complained. Les also helped the creatives to achieve their concepts with his valuable experience and his own creativity in the Cutting Room. His experience was one of the reasons we were able to achieve the results the Producers were looking for in the Production. A big thank you to Les from us all. Looking forward to working with him again.”
